Accessibility Policy
Effective Date: 04/01/2025
At SkilRedi, our mission is to maintain and promote equal access to high-quality education for everyone without regard to race, gender, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation, or disability. Accordingly, we are committed to ensuring that skilredi.com and its affiliated subsites are accessible to individuals with disabilities as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and that our platform permits content providers to develop and post accessible content. To meet this goal, we are committed to the following:
- We aim to conform skilredi.com and its affiliated subsites with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (“WCAG”) 2.1 AA as published by the World Wide Web Consortium, and provide course authoring tools that permit content providers to post course content that complies with WCAG 2.1 AA. We verify conformance through a combination of manual code inspection, automated testing using industry-recognized tools, and compatibility testing using the most widely used accessibility support tools.
- We require that all course videos include transcripts and timed closed captioning for all audio and video content. We work to ensure that all content providers comply with their independent obligations under applicable accessibility laws to make sure that course content posted on skilredi.com will meet a wide variety of requirements of learners with disabilities. To assist content providers in their efforts, we distribute the platform’s Accessibility Best Practices Guidance for Content Providers documentation.
- We use content authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360 which supports WCAG 2.1 Level AA, including screen readers, keyboard navigation, visible focus indicators, and more. Storyline 360 accessibility guidelines provides additional guidance on how to support Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and Section 508 accessibility.
- We prioritize accessibility bug fixes to ensure they are remedied with the same level of priority as any other equivalent loss of function for individuals without disabilities.
- We welcome accessibility-related feedback, including requests for accommodation, through the support@skilredi.com inbox, which is managed by a knowledgeable SkilRedi support team.
