1. Introduction to Electric Vehicles

This course will equip learners with fundamental knowledge of Electric Vehicles, covering industry history, differences from gasoline vehicles, EV types, key electrical and battery terms, core BEV components and features, battery technology, electrical principles and systems (AC/DC, circuits, voltage, current, resistance, power), and electric motor operation, types, and applications.

2. The EV Battery

This course covers the structure, components, and chemistry of EV batteries, with an emphasis on technician-relevant knowledge. Learners study performance characteristics, safety considerations, and how different battery designs impact efficiency and vehicle operation.

3. The Battery Pack and Module

This course focuses on the assembly, disassembly, and testing of EV battery packs and modules. Learners gain an understanding of the Battery Management System (BMS), thermal propagation, and the importance of accurate documentation. Practical guidance is provided for safe handling, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability of battery systems in EVs.

4. Manufacturing an EV and EV Batteries

5 Modules | 4 Hours | Digital Twins: TBD

This course provides a step-by-step overview of EV and battery manufacturing processes, emphasizing the technician’s role in module and pack creation. Learners explore the supply chain, key manufacturing steps (slurry, calendaring, slitting, stacking, sealing, and formation), and the focus areas of packing, busbar connections, and housing assembly.
